至人は己れ無し

至人無己，神人無功，聖人無名。
訓読
至人は己無く、神人は功無く、聖人は名無し。
現代語訳
至高の境地に達した人には「自分」という執着がなく、神のごとき人には功績への執着がなく、聖人には名誉への執着がない。天地の道理に乗り、六気の変化を御して窮まりないところに遊ぶ者には、もはや頼るものすら要らない——そう述べた末に置かれる、逍遙遊篇を締めくくる一句である。
中文釋義
至人無己、神人無功、聖人無名,三者层层递进,皆指向同一境界——不执着于自我、不执着于事功、不执着于声名。庄子借此说明,真正的逍遥,不在于外在成就的堆积,而在于内心不再需要借助"自己""功劳""名声"这些标签,才能安顿自身。

The realized person has no fixed self to defend, the sagely person seeks no credit for achievement, and the wise person needs no name to be recognized. Closing the chapter on carefree wandering, the line suggests that true freedom is not measured by what one accumulates — self-image, accomplishment, reputation — but by how little one still needs any of it.

When identity, achievement, and reputation carry too much weight, they end up steering a person rather than the other way around. Zhuangzi's talk of having no fixed self is not a call to stop acting in the world, but a reminder not to let any accomplishment become the ground one stands on. It is worth asking, occasionally, whether one could still feel steady with the titles and praise set aside.
