問事

The ancients did not speak of consulting. They spoke of bringing a matter before someone.

To bring a matter is not merely to ask after fortune. Once fortune is seen, the question that matters comes next: what, then, is to be done?

So my work does not end at seeing. Reading the situation is the start; showing what can be changed is the destination: a dwelling can be adjusted, a destiny can be built upon, an hour can be chosen.
Heaven settles one half, and we make the other — what I present is the craft of that other half.

Service boundary: no threats of calamity, promises to rewrite fate or create wealth, or use of Buddhism to endorse divination. Every judgment states its basis, limits, and practical scope.

Dwelling

相宅

Every residence, estate, office, and storefront has its configuration. It runs with you or against you, received daily and unnoticed — and the ease or obstruction of your affairs already lies within it.

The method is inherited from six schools: landform as the body, compass as the function. I must walk the ground myself — climb high, look far, pace the approaches — before I speak. But a verdict is not the destination: a door can be moved, a seat shifted, a use changed. What I present is a workable course of adjustment — what to alter, what to keep, what to leave for its proper time.

Before a move or purchase, or when a workplace is not functioning well, the environment can be examined first. Adjustment improves conditions of dwelling and use; it does not replace conduct, relationships, or practical decisions.

Destiny

論命

The Eight Characters are the seal of an hour; the Purple Star chart, an arrangement of stars. What they show is not a fixed fate, but endowment, structure, and rhythm — a chart one can work from.

The essence is not to pronounce on fortune, but to build a life upon the chart: when to advance and when to hold; what may be done and what must not be forced; where your given strengths belong. Marriages, successions, the choosing of those you work with: all fall within it.

Destiny is given; the course is made. To know your destiny is not to submit to it — it is precisely by seeing your endowment and your rhythm that you know where to begin on the half that lies in your own hands.

Timing

擇日

Half of any outcome lies in the thing itself; half lies in its hour. The thing is cultivated; the hour is chosen — and election is the art of taking that half back into your own hands.

The art of election joins the time of heaven, the advantage of earth, and the accord of people. It is not a matter of leafing through an almanac: what is chosen is one person, one matter, one place — each with its own fitness. Weddings, openings, relocations, signings, successions — before a great matter is settled, examine its time.

For family successions and undertakings measured in years, I also serve year by year — reading the year’s currents at its opening, setting what moves first and what waits: a guest behind the curtain.

The Way · 受 理 之 途

  1. The Letter

State your name, your purpose, and the matter at hand, through the Correspondence page.

  2. Review

Within three days of its arrival, you will have an answer. If the matter lies beyond my art, I will say so plainly — I will not mislead.

  3. Audience

We meet in Tokyo, or across the sea, in Chinese or Japanese. The honorarium is weighed case by case and presented when we meet; forgive me for listing none here.

  4. Acceptance

Once a matter is taken, I attend to it myself; it passes into no other hands. Each season, only a few matters are accepted.

Whatever is asked — accepted or not — is kept as under oath.

What is guarded is not the matter alone, but the very name of the one who asked.
